House at the lake

A beautiful location on a lake. Two volumes, house and garage, are pushed together. The whole is finished in a fairly minimalistic way, lots of glass and voids provide a special spatial experience, with a stunning view of the lake from all living and sleeping areas.

A central void connects the ground floor with the first floor and links the cozy raised seating area to the kitchen and dining room. The large fireplace between dining room and loft helps to create different zones without compartmentalizing.

On the first floor, the hall opens up to the loft. A home office is provided along the parapet of the loft and the beautiful view.

By using an acoustic ceiling it is possible to achieve a great level of comfort while still enjoying the size and openness of the living space with its abundance of natural light.
